How to Create a Purchase Suggestion

Purchase Suggestions are prompts that can be used to encourage customers to purchase additional items, based on both the items they look at and the items they add to their basket. This can be used to upsell or cross-sell items for your event.

Instructions

  1. Log in to the Back Office (https://backoffice.digitickets.co.uk)

  2. Click on Marketing, and then Purchase Suggestions

3. Click on the blue Add button in the top right-hand corner

4. Now you can fill in the form to set up the suggestion

Name

This is the name of the purchase suggestion that you use for internal reference.

Message to Customer eg ‘Considered these?’

The messaging you wish to use when the suggestion appears on the customer-facing website.

Suggested Items

Which items/products do you wish to upsell or cross-sell to customers.

Required Items

The items on which the suggestions will appear when customers add these items to their basket.

Display From

The start date in which the system will suggest these items to customers.

Display To

The end date in which the system will stop suggesting theses items to customers.

Show Suggested Items when Required Items are added to the basket?

Choose whether to show the suggestions when the required items have been added to the basket.

Same session enforcement

Choose whether or not the suggested items must be fore the same date and time as the required items.

Display settings for event based suggestions

Choose whether to show the suggested items to all customers, or customers who have bought a ticket for the same date.

Show Suggested Items when Required Items are visible on the current page?

If your required items are being shown on the product/ticket page, choose whether your suggested items are also displayed on the same page.

Remove Suggested Items once they have been added to basket?

Choose whether the suggested items should stop being displayed to customers once they are added in the basket, or persistently show the suggested items.

Status

Choose whether to save the suggestion as Active or Inactive.

5. Once you have completed the form, click the pink Add button in the lower right-hand corner
