How to Create a Gift Voucher
In this guide, we’ll explain how you can add a Gift Voucher into DigiTickets which can then be used either on your customer-facing website or through ProPoint to purchase an experience or purchase a ticket.
Gift Vouchers cannot be used to contribute towards a membership.
Instructions
Log in to the Back Office (https://backoffice.digitickets.co.uk)
Click on Inventory, and then Gift Vouchers
3. Now click on Configure Gift Vouchers
4. Click on the blue Add button in the top right-hand corner of the screen
5. Now you can start filling in the information
Field | Meaning |
---|---|
Name | The name of the voucher that will display on the customer-facing website. |
Category | The category in which the Gift Vouchers will appear. We recommend having a separate Category for your Gift Vouchers. |
Gift Voucher Type | Stored Balance is like your typical Gift Voucher from a retail shop. Customers can choose an amount to purchase and then use that credit on their tickets. Experience Vouchers are to be used to redeem a specific ticket for a specific event, regardless of any price changes. The price of the ticket will be reduced to free when the Experience Voucher is redeemed against it. |
Branches | Choose which Branch can sell these Gift Vouchers. |
Status | Leave as Active so when you save, the Gift Voucher is ready to be used. |
Image | Upload an image that can be used with the Gift Voucher. |
Delivery
Field | Meaning |
---|---|
Delivery Options | Choose whether to email the customer their voucher, have them collect the voucher in person, or send it out via post. |
Collect Recipient Name | Choose whether customers can add the name of the person they are gifting this voucher to. |
Collect Recipient Message | Choose whether customers can add a custom message for their Gift Voucher. |
Validity
Field | Meaning |
---|---|
Expires After | Choose when the voucher will expire. |
Valid For | Choose whether you wish for this gift voucher to be used on a specific item, or for any item. Stored Balance vouchers cannot be set for specific items. |
Optional Content
Add in any custom messages that will appear on the Gift Voucher email
Advanced
Field | Meaning |
---|---|
Short Name | The name that will appear on ProPoint. |
Price/Value Override | Allow staff to override the price of the voucher when using ProPoint. |
Third Party ID | The unique identifier for third-party integrations. |
Description | Enter a long description of the voucher that will appear on the customer-facing website. |
Sellable on Channels | Choose where this voucher can be sold. |
6. Now that you have entered all of the information, click on the pink Add button in the lower right-hand corner
Stored Balance Vouchers - Adding Denominations
Before your voucher can be purchased by customers, you must dictate what voucher options you wish to sell.
On the Configure Gift Vouchers page, find your Gift Voucher and click on Denominations
2. Click on the blue Add button in the top right-hand corner
3. You’ll see some new fields appear for you to fill in the information about the Gift Voucher
Field | Meaning |
---|---|
Demonination | The actual value of the gift voucher. e.g. 5.00 |
Name | The name of the value as it would appear on the customer-facing website. e.g. £5.00 Voucher |
Default | Choose whether this denomination is the defaulted option to select for customers |
Status | Leave as Active |
4. Once you have filled in the information, click on the pink Add button on the right-hand side
5. The page will refresh and that denomination will be added. Repeat this process for any other denominations you wish to add
