How to Create a Product

In this guide, we’ll go through the steps you can take to create a product to sell online and on ProPoint.

3. Then click on Products

4. Click on the blue Add button in the top right-hand corner

5. Now you fill in the information

Field	Meaning

Field	Meaning
Name	The name of the Product you are creating.
Category	The category which this product will be associated with.
Product Code	The SKU of the product or identifiable code for the product.
Third Party ID	The unique identifier for a third-party integration.
Barcode	The associated barcode number for the product.
Product Type	Choose whether it is a Standard product, or a Food & Drink item.

Supplier	Choose the supplier of this product.
Delivery	Does this item require options for delivery to the customer?
Weight In Grams	What is the weight of the item in grams? Eg. 35
Main Image	Upload a 600px by 600px image of your product.
Purchase Qty	Set the minimum and maximum number of products customers can purchase at any one time.
Branches	Choose which branch or branches this product will be linked too.
Status	Leave Status as Active unless you don’t want the product active upon saving.

EPOS Button Label	The label of the button that will appear on ProPoint.
Short Description	The description of the product that will appear on the customer-facing website.
Long Description	The long description of the product that will appear on the customer-facing website.
Initial Stock	Enter in your starting stock amount for each branch/company.

Price	The price that you sell the item for.
Cost Price	The price of the item before you add your profit margin.
EPOS Pricing	Choose whether this is a fixed priced item, or an item in which you will need to manually enter in the price. This option is only available for the ProPoint EPOS system.
Tax Classification	Choose which tax rate is applied for this product.

Featured	Choose whether this product is going to be featured on the customer-facing website.
Show On Kitchen Screen	Choose whether this product needs to be visible on the Kitchen Screen.
Sellable On Channels	Choose whether this product is available Online, on ProPoint, or both.

6. Once you have filled in your information, you can click on the pink Add button in the lower right-hand corner
